Dagenham Park is a truly inclusive school; we are committed to developing each individual, nurturing their talents and aspirations in order to develop confident young people who are ready for the challenges of adult life in the modern world.
We strive to inspire learners to excellence, stretching them academically and harnessing their creative energies so that they can make a full contribution to the school, wider community and beyond.
Dagenham Park Church of England Schoolis a Specialist School in the Performing Arts, achieved initially in September 2001. The specialist schools programme has led to improved facilities in Dance, Music and Drama and extensive opportunities for students to become involved in the Performing Arts, both in lesson time and after school.
Our Specialist status has allowed us to develop excellence in the performing arts and to offer a wide variety of Arts enrichment activities throughout the academic year for the school and wider community. These opportunities include high quality performances, working with arts practitioners, visits to galleries and theatres and a range of extra curricular activities that take place at lunchtime and after school. Productions take place throughout the year and all students are welcome to become involved by performing on stage or working behind the scenes.
During our many years as a specialist school, we have developed an extensive programme of community activities. Our links with local primary and secondary schools have enabled us to share our expertise and facilities with young people in the local community and we host many regional community showpiece Arts Events. Many of our specialist schools projects and initiatives are now receiving national recognition.
